David Berkheimer was born in Battle Creek, Michigan in October 1936. He graduated from Central High School in 1954 and received a diploma from Central Bible College of Springfield, MO in 1957. David received B.A. in Theology from Central Bible College of Springfield.   

David and Valda were married in August of 2005. Brother David has two daughters and four grandchildren. One daughter is ordained, has created and directs Camp His Way, a Christian children's camp ground and retreat center on Lake Sam Rayburn.

David's ministry experience includes pastoring four Assemblies of God Churches:

First Assembly of God, Mission, Texas - 1958-1961

First Assembly of God, Point Comfort, Texas - 1961-1963

 

First Assembly of God, Rosenberg, Texas - 1963-1972

 

From 1972-1974 David and Melba did missions work in Portugal.

Community Church, Orange, Texas - 1979-Present.

     

Community Church has grown from an average worship attendance of 275 to 1,060 at present. Community also has a Christian school, accredited through the 12th grade by ACSI, that presently has 350 students.
